First-Ever Titan Diesel Camps Wrap-Up as a Success!

And that's a wrap! With the conclusion of July, Titan Machinery's FIRST year of Diesel Camps is officially in the books. We were excited to host 140 campers across four college locations throughout our Titan footprint. Each camp session provided students of all socioeconomic backgrounds and experience levels the opportunity to step into the work boots of a Titan Machinery Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic. These 9th and 10th-grade students demonstrated their drive to grow as they worked collaboratively through hands-on mechanical projects, solved real-world problems, and learned the ins and outs of both construction and agricultural machinery. Elevating it further, they were able to do so alongside incredible certified Diesel Technology instructors, industry experts, and our own current student technicians.

Students work with equipment experts with years of industry experience.

Through programs like our Titan Diesel Camp, #TeamTitan continues in our efforts to rewrite the narrative around skilled trade work and tackle the nationwide shortage through innovative means such as these. What Next?

Now, though summer is soon to conclude, we have a fresh school year on the horizon, bringing with it the next season of opportunities for students everywhere who want to learn more about a career in the equipment industry. At Titan Machinery, we're looking forward to starting our Fall 2023 EDGE program.

Explore. Discover. Grow. Educate.

The Titan EDGE program provides high school juniors and seniors, as well as GED students, a chance to work alongside dealership teams in Service, Parts, and Sales in one of our 90+ U.S. Agriculture or Construction dealerships. The program is designed to provide professional career connections and mentorship within our industry while supporting students in their educational goals. In other words, we're here to provide these students with an edge as they seek out future career and post-high school opportunities.

What's Special About EDGE?

EDGE is more than a typical extra-curricular activity. In this program, participants will gain their edge by working anywhere from 4 to 20 hours per week, based on their schooling schedule, for at least 12 weeks. This means that while doing so, they will have access to all the same benefits as any other #TeamTitan employee. Titan takes care of you by providing:

  • 401(k) with company matching on your first day of employment
  • Competitive wages
  • Employee discounts at Titan Machinery, Enterprise Car Rental, Hertz Car Rental, Choice Hotels, and Profile by Sanford
  • Titan paid employee assistance program (free and confidential counseling, legal advice, and more)
  • Ongoing professional training opportunities
  • Paid time for Team Titan volunteer activities in your community
  • Access to Titan uniform/branded apparel program

Opportunities to participate in professional development, gain real exposure to customer relationship building, and learn the product and position knowledge, all while receiving benefits, might not be the norm for most high school part-time jobs, but here, we couldn't imagine doing it any other way.

Titan EDGE students earn real-life job experience at their local Titan Machinery dealership.

How Do I Learn More?

Know someone who's interested in skilled trade work or could use that extra edge as they head into the next school year? We would love to meet them!
