AFS Connect Steiger 620 Titan - News By: Grace Lange

It all started with two brothers and a farm. Maurice and Douglass Steiger needed a tractor that would help them get the job done on their small farm in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, so in 1957 they decided to build their own. The Steiger tractor was designed to be reliable, high-powered, and have four-wheel drive; founding principles that are still their main goal today. Though the look of the tractor may have changed, the value and solidity of the Steiger tractor remains the same.

The Steiger tractor family is introducing their brand new AFS Connect Steiger Tractor series, which uses its power and precision to continue to produce the results you know and trust, but give you new ways to maximize your yield potential. This unit comes with a PowerDrive or CVXDrive transmission and varies from 370-682 horsepower. The tractor also comes in four different versions: Heavy-Duty Wheeled, Rowtrac, Quadtrac, and Scraper.

Special Features

How can you resist the multi-control armrest? This special feature is completelyAFS Steiger Deluxe Cab redesigned and includes Encoder Dials, MultiFunction Handle, and Electro-Hydraulic Remote Levers. These additions allow drivers to customize exactly how they control the tractor, and are easy to use and teach others!

The engine is the best of the best. It is powerful, smart, simple, and efficient. With 8.7 and 12.9 liter engines and FPT technology, it provides users with the most power and leading fuel efficiency. The Steiger tractor engine doesn't require regeneration, so you can keep it running all day long. The machine also has up to a 470 gallon fuel capacity and 600 hour oil-change intervals.

Other new features include LED Grill Lights, 360-degree Egress Lighting, Four Camera Feeds, Self-Tensioning Track System, Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors, Tri-Stripe Decals, and Telescoping Mirrors! To read more about these special features, visit: Case IH Agriculture

What is AFS Connect and how does it work?

AFS Connect is a portal that allows you to manage your farm, fleet, and data from anywhere. This portal is available on your phone, computer, or tablet. AFS Connect gives you the option to maintain current field operations, fleet information, agronomic data and more. It uses the cloud-based MyCaseIH.com platform with two data management sectors: fleet management and data management. A modem is also required to connect the online platform with the AFS Pro monitor. The data that is obtained from the cloud is instantly available for analysis. This is an amazing asset; as soon as an issue with the machine arises you are notified, getting you back to work faster. The AFS Connect will be available on any Case IH tractor or combine that can be fitted with telematics technology! Learn more about AFS Connect at the Case IH Newsroom
